Compromise

Iran absolutely does NOT like chocolate in anything. I wanted some chocolate chip cheese cake so badly and the idea of chocolate chips in the cheese cake make Iran's stomach turn. So I decided to make a nobake one and compromise. Half for chocolate chip for me...half regular with cherries for him.

Went to Newtok last week....a honey bucket village.....got stuck there an extra day. No shower for five days was rough...but I made it!

This is our water filter after about two weeks...DISGUSTING...DISGUSTING....DISGUSTING!!!!!

We had noticed that our water smelled yucky and tasted weird even after we used the Britta filter. Our land lord had suggested we get a water filter that sits next to the pump....so we did. ALL I CAN SAY IS GROSS....I don't even want to think about what we were drinking before....we still don't know what all the debris/merkiness and other JUNK is in our water tank. THIS IS SO GROSS I CAN BARELY LOOK AT THIS PICTURE. This is only after like two weeks....we now have an automatic water filter order coming off of amazon to be delivered on a regular basis. This is just disgusting!!

Had a nice big salad tonight with all of our kale, lettuce and broccoli...was soooo good!

Chevak, Alaska

Went to Chevak for four days this last week to do an immunization clinic....went with two other great nurses from out health center. Made for a fun trip. Check out the Chevak basketball court....pretty sturdy for being on dock like boards. :)
