THE KUSKOKWIM 300!!!

Iditarod is the "Greatest Race in Alaska"....but the Kuskokwim 300 is huge as well in Western Alaska!! It's a 300 mile dog race on the frozen river...24 mushers are competing this year....they all started at the starting line...which is also the finish line....the mushers started two minutes apart from each other. I am thinking this is the case since it's on the river and there is not a lot of room for them all to start together. Awwwww this was SO MUCH FUN OUT ON THE FROZEN RIVER!! What a great night!! The lights they hauled out on the river had it lit up like a ball field. And wow...I think every person who lives in Bethel came out to the river for the race to support the mushers! AND they had a great display of fireworks!
