Caribou

This is our friend Phil....he has three boats here in Nome and is a professional crab fisherman. When you eat Alaskan King Crab...it may of come from one of his boats. He has worked on the the "Deadliest Catch" in the past. At any rate...we had asked Phil....if you happened to be out hunting and get a chance to get some caribou...we would love to have some and make sausage. So within a couple days here comes FOUR caribou carcasses in our living room. So here is Iran cleaning them and Phil coming to help later grind the meat. What a long process. MUCH TO IRAN'S SADNESS his year long planned caribou trip that was supposed to happen this week had to be canceled due to continuous blizzard conditions. And now the sun of course is shining bright. But thank God a couple weeks ago....Phil shared his caribou with us! God always provides!! :)
