WOW!! Is the one word I can say for Little Diomede. We only get to go there once a year due to the fact that it is VERY hard to get there...the plane only has about a 1 month window to land there on the ice/snow runway built on the frozen ocean. If there is a medivac (someone needs immediate life threatening medical care) it is usually done with a military"black hawk" helicopter. Otherwise the mail gets there sometimes once every 8 days by a little helicopter sometimes it is once every six weeks depending on weather.
