It looks like there is some open water in between the ice...but it is actually frozen too....just don't don't know how deep that black ice is. :)
Did not get any pictures in Savoonga at all, because it was dark when I was able to get some and whatever I took a picture of would look like a black blob. Had a great time, a lot of great people out there.
