Our Nome public health crew!

State of Alaska immunization program has promotion every Iditarod called "I did it by two"....(the slogan is from two dogs are harnessed together :) ...promotes kids getting their immunizations. Works great!! At the beginning of the Iditarod race in Anchorage several mushers have their dogs wear "I did it by two" immunization jackets and the mushers that do that get in a drawing for a $500 check. During the week the musher's take off from Anchorage on the 1,049 mile trail (takes over a week to get to Nome)...the immunization program draws a name of the mushers that participated...and the Nome Public Health crew go out and meets the musher as he coming in......our winner was "Ritchie".....as very sweet young man from the Bethel region....so here our crew is at the finish line with Ritche presenting his check.
